Clay Brown aka Ject
North, conveys his pained past through his music. He puts his heart onto every
track as he describes the hardships he's had to overcome. Ject grew up with his
single mother and three siblings, on the Northside section of Pleasantville,
New Jersey. His mother worked multiple jobs to make ends meet which left him and his
siblings to be raised by their eldest sister. He fell into the street life
which led him to be incarcerated as a teen. It wasn't until after he survived a
near death experience, at the age of 20, that he decided to turn his life
around. That near death experience led Ject North to make drastic changes
within his life. It strengthened his faith in Allah and his ambition to enter
the Hip Hop industry full force. Ject's recognizable vocal tone and ability to
portray his experiences in a manner where his audience can feel as well as
visualize the picture he's painting; sets him apart. His willingness to invest
into establishing his career and his mind state of always wanting to improve
his artistry, makes him a worthy competitor entering the Hip Hop arena.
In early October
2017, he released two singles independently, "We Ball" &
"Day 1's", which both reached a commendable amount of views. He
released his first mixtape, titled "Jectavelli" on Halloween 2017;
every track on this mixtape takes you back to when Hip Hop had a pulse. Raw,
gritty bars with that aggressive East coast flavor, over classic sounding Hip
Hop beats; best describes the tone of this mixtape. Ject North is not done
showing you how you can overcome the worst tragedies and still follow your
dreams. He's currently producing his follow up project "Jectlyfe",
which he will share with his supporters during an intimate listening party.
He's continuously challenges himself to expand his sound and connect to his
audience by being authentic with his music and image. He's a young entrepreneur
who knows the importance of ownership so he invested into launching an
Independent Production company, Forever North Records, LLC.
These days Ject
North has a lot to be thankful for...he is a family man who aspires to be a
positive role model and provider for his fiancé and new born baby girl, Cionni.
More than ever, Ject has a purpose greater than himself... and that is the role
he has taken on as the provider and protector of his family. Most of his
friends and loved one's who came from his city are either incarcerated or
dearly departed. He knows how fortunate he is to be alive and following his
dreams. Stay on this journey with him, as Ject North levels up in the Hip Hop
industry!
